Miriam Lopez, MA, LMFT
Miriam López is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years of experience dedicated to helping individuals navigate a wide range of mental health issues. She specializes in areas such as grief, trauma, depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, stress management, premarital and marriage counseling, family issues and life transitions. Miriam utilizes evidence-based practices to support her clients according to their specific needs.
Miriam holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology. In her practice, Miriam is committed to providing a safe, supportive, compassionate, and non-judgmental space geared towards finding healing and hope. She gently encourages individuals to discover their unique God-given gifts, talents, and strengths, which can lead to wholeness and flourishing and ultimately to realizing the plans the Lord has for them. As Scripture says, "For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future". Jeremiah 29:11
Fluent in Spanish, Miriam enjoys working with the Hispanic community. As a practicing Catholic and an active member of the Lay Missionaries of Charity of St. Mother Teresa, her work is also deeply informed by the saint's charism and values, including one of her guiding principles: "Our lives to be fruitful, must be full of Christ; to be able to bring his peace, joy and love we must have it ourselves, for we cannot give what we have not got".
